  Project Management

Many people embarking on new projects will recognise a need for decisive yet sensitive handling of all aspects of the proposed work.  This may involve the co-ordination of submissions for statutory approvals, tendering and contract management.  The key tasks of good management of multidiscipline projects are the understanding of the goal and nature of the works and of the skills of the other members of the team combined with the ability to bring the team together and focus on the matters in hand, particularly those which affect the critical path and budget.

The Project Manager's role is neither as designer, surveyor nor clerk of works but is a pivotal position through which key information is collated, disseminated and acted upon.

From initial co-ordination meetings through tendering to contractor selection, contract management and completion, Light Perceptions offers straightforward approach to Project Management, particularly in listed or landmark buildings and where lighting, AV or projection systems may be a major part of the works.

The Christmas lighting installation at the Swiss Re building shown in the photograph above was designed by Speirs & Major Associates.
