Any Colour You Like, Building Design Centre

Light Perceptions

Project Type: Systems Integration for Exhibition Display Module
Lighting Design by: Speirs and Major Associates
Case Study No: 2048

Any Colour You Like was part of a “Colour in Architecture” Exhibition at the Building Design Centre in 2003 designed by the architects Hugh Broughton Associates. The lighting concepts – to create any colour you like by mixing coloured fluorescent light – was designed by Speirs and Major Associates.

Light Perceptions worked closely with Speirs and Major Associates developing the control system that allowed for simple colour mixing so that the volume could be tuned to any colour the visitor could image.

Today we would use LED technology, probably controlled with an iPad to do this but ten years ago this would have been a pipe dream!
