St John Medieval Museum

Light Perceptions have been appointed to carry out a feasibility study into a new lighting scheme for The St John Medieval Museum on the site of The Blackfriars Monastery, which was a Dominican Monastery home of crusaders of the Order of St. John. The site also includes the Coningsby Hospital which was an ex-serviceman’s hospital and is now within an attractive rose garden containing a stone Preaching Cross, one of the last surviving examples of such a structure. The Museum explains the links between the Crusades, the Knights Templar and The Hospitaller Knights.
